Before a young person can use Viewpoint Online or Offline, a
Login Id has to be set up for him/her to use. This section is to show you how
to set up Login Id’s for individuals and large groups of young people.

1. Login to Viewpoint Online as a Manager To create users you will need to login to
Viewpoint Online as a manager, see the “Manager Login” user guide for details
of how to do this. |
2.
Open the “Create User” Screen
Click on the “Create User” option in the “User”
section of the menu at the left hand side of the screen. The “Create User”
screen will be displayed (circled in red on Fig 1). |

3. Choose User Type to create There are 3 types of users you can create, they
are “Specific”, “Named” and “Generated”.
Create Specific User – If you are
creating a single user and you wish to specify the Login Id for that user
then you will need to select the “Create Specific User” option. Create Generated Users – If you are
creating a group of users for example a class at school or a youth group,
then you will need to select “Create Generated User” option. Click on the user type you wish to create (the
user types are circled in red in Fig 3). |

4. Enter the required user information For Specific Users you will need to enter: login, first name, surname,
password and confirm password. You can leave password and confirm password
blank, if you do this the password will be created the same as the login (see
Fig 4). |

For
Named Users you will need to enter: first
name, surname, password and confirm password. You can leave password and
confirm password blank, if you do this the password will be created the same
as the login (see Fig 5). |

For
Generated Users you will need
to enter: login prefix, number of logins to be created, password, confirm
password and either sequenced or random. You can also choose the option to
“Create Login Cards”. You can leave password and confirm password blank, if
you do the password will be created the same as the login (see Fig 6). |

Select Profile Option You
can select whether the “Manager Creates Profile” or “User Creates Profile”.
Also there is an option for “User can change password”, if you select this it
will allow the user to change their password when they login for the first
time. Note: If you are creating “Generated Users” and you select
“Manager Creates Profile” then the profile will be the same for all the users
created. |

6.
Select the Questionnaire and Report Options You can select the questionnaires the user can answer and whether or not they can produce an “Individual Report” and/or “Statement Bank Report” and/or “Target Report” from the list. Simply click on the relevant checkboxes to select them (in Fig 8 the questionnaires and reports selected have been circled in red). |

Once
you have entered the relevant information and selected the relevant options
click on the “Create” button at the top of the screen (circled in red in Fig
9). |

7.
Manager Creates Profile
After
entering or selecting a profile item you can click on the speaker button to listen to what the profile item
will sound like in a questionnaire (phonetically). Note: If you selected “User Creates Profile”
you will miss this stage out and proceed to step “8. Create User Details
Screen”. |

8. Create User Details Screen The “Create User Details” screen will
pop up in a new window showing you the details of any users that were
created. You can print this screen by clicking on the “File” menu and
selecting the “Print…” option. Note: Viewpoint Online will not close if you
close this window. |
