Before a young person can use Viewpoint Online or Offline, a Login Id has to be set up for him/her to use. This section is to show you how to set up Login Id’s for individuals and large groups of young people.

1. Login to Viewpoint Online as a Manager

To create users you will need to login to Viewpoint Online as a manager, see the “Manager Login” user guide for details of how to do this.

2. Open the “Create User” Screen

Click on the “Create User” option in the “User” section of the menu at the left hand side of the screen. The “Create User” screen will be displayed (circled in red on Fig 1).

Note: If you cannot see the “Create User” option then you do not have the correct permissions to create users.

Create Named UserIf you are creating a single user and do not need to specify the Login Id , then you can select the “Create Named User” option. The Login Id of a named user is created by taking the first 3 characters from the first name and the first 3 characters from the surname.

Create Generated UsersIf you are creating a group of users for example a class at school or a youth group, then you will need to select “Create Generated User” option.

Click on the user type you wish to create (the user types are circled in red in Fig 3).
